Formation:

The Bates Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that was formed in March of 2015. The source of original capital was donations by Douglas K Bates and Brooke B Bates. The original goal of The Bates Foundation was to create a critical mass of capital that would allow it to execute its mission objectives.

Mission Statement

The Bates Foundation supports effective programs and partnerships that seek to change lives. Contributions provide financial support for global entities that promote good health, facilitate better housing, inspire learning, respect the environment, and diminish sickness and despair.
